Day 82: Pikes Peak, CO

Today, we drove the long and winding road to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado (14,115 ft elevation). I was surprised how quickly one is out of breath with even the slightest amount of hiking at such an altitude. I think I made the right choice not going on that much higher Kilimanjaro trek with my cousin Doug a few years ago :)

One of the park staff, Sherri, asked how she could get a copy of our book, so we were happy to give her one. Tomorrow, we're off to Kansas.
