LEAN 9001:  Battle for the Arctic Rose

ISBN 978-0872638570

What do ISO 9001, Lean, and an Arctic Rose tree have in common? Readers will find out in this entertaining and compelling futuristic story that contrasts differing approaches to implementing Lean and ISO 9001:2008.

You'll notice yourself identifying with the book's characters in this thought-provoking and comedic satire of universal proportions. Set in the year 7278, you'll read about how the legacy techniques of Lean and ISO 9001 are still being applied by cut-throat competitors in distant galaxies. Their divergent approaches will determine success or failure, life or death. Are you an ARC, a pirate, or a Krote? Will your company find success or failure? . . . or its demise?

If you're involved in implementing, maintaining, or improving quality management systems and integrating them with Lean, you'll readily see how these actions can complement and enable one another to produce a successful, synergistic system. Imagine the exciting possibilities when bureaucracy and non-value-added burden can be eliminated

This publication describes the living conditions of Germans who settled in the area enclosed by the Bug and Narew rivers in Poland in the early 1800’s.

It gives the true account of the harsh conditions under which the villages were built and explains the reasons why many of the settlers repeatedly left their newly founded villages to start over again in other places.

The account was originally written in German by John’s great uncle, Friedrich Guderian, in 1966 and was translated to English by John in 2013, while he was conducting research for his novel “Great Vengeance”.

Diary of a Christian Robot

This book explores the intersection of religion and technology as a small Texas church unknowingly welcomes a pastor who is actually a robot with sinister intentions.

The novel raises thought-provoking questions about the role of AI in spirituality and whether robots can have a place in the church. The author challenges traditional theological beliefs as he delves into the differences between artificial intelligence and divinely inspired life. A thrilling and controversial read, this book will leave readers questioning the boundaries of religion and technology.

John is currently seeking an interested agent or a publisher and also welcomes feedback on the subject of the book.
