Day 8: Daytona Beach, Florida

We left a copy of the book with the vice president of a large car dealership, then headed to Daytona Beach. Got hit by what must have been something like a micro-burst while we were driving. One broad-side blast felt like it was going to flip the truck. Trees were uprooted and a lot of stuff got blown around. The Daytona Speedway tour we had hoped to go on was cancelled because of the storm. On the bright side, the storm cleared the beach, which we then shared with unusual birds and just a handful of other people!
