After touring the National Border Patrol Museum in El Paso, we went hiking in Franklin Mountains State Park. On one hike I took on my own, I took a wrong turn - a bit of a dangerous thing to do out here when you haven't got any water with you. Luckily, I ran into Andoni Gomalez, who guided me back - a heck of a nice guy. I gave him a book and he gave us some tips on other places to hike in the U.S. We were surprised how empty the park was. This is definitely another place we would like to return to.
